The Story Of Space | Call for Submission

October 5, 2016

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

– Viktor E. Frankl

OCTOBER – NOVEMBER 2017

GOA, INDIA

The Story of Space explores space and its connections to science, philosophy, art and culture to create inspiration, dialogue and spontaneous learning experiences through a free, public festival. Curated through conversations and an open call, the festival will bring together researchers of science & philosophy, artists & designers, writers & poets, musicians, cultural practitioners, coders, and educators in a month long calendar of events in Goa, India.

The notion of space is synonymous with existence. The past is seemingly without a beginning. The future brims with possibility. How do we, the human, contextualize ourselves within this fragment, this instance of space and time. Be it through science, philosophy, art, or culture, the lens through which space is seen and experienced forms an integral part of making sense of the world within and around us.

SCOPE OF SPACE

The scope of space is broad, from inner to outer, tangible to intangible, known to unknown.
We didn’t want to put a boundary to space, but here are some content frames. Feel free to move beyond them.
