Developer Needed For ‘The Story Of’ Project

October 24, 2016

About The Story Of

The Story of Foundation is an informal learning project. We offer experiential and spontaneous learning opportunities on interdisciplinary content across science, philosophy, art, and culture, with the wider benefit of making interdependencies visible. We are/for the 21st century inquirer. Our approach:

Visit www.thestoryof.org for more information.

Last year we hosted The Story of Light festival in Goa, India. Next year, we present The Story of Space. Curated through conversations and an open call, the festival will bring together researchers of science & philosophy, artists & designers, writers & poets, musicians, cultural practitioners, coders, and educators in a month long calendar of events in Goa, India. Through 2017, we will also host smaller workshops and talks in various cities across India and online.

About the Role

The current post is a search for a talented developer who aligns with the vision of the The Story Of project — to work on a new idea — a way to browse stories online that help make interdependencies visible.

In brief, we will curate stories (in multiple formats — text, audio, video, etc.) from across the talented web pool and present them in a web-like format with multiple sensory ways to browse the stories. We hope to make the platform interactive and also tied into VR.

We are a volunteer-run initiative and invite developers to work with us on an in-kind basis. We are happy if the code / plugin is open source and not exclusive to us.

Are you interested?

We invite applications from developers located anywhere in the world. Good communication skills (being responsive on emails, and good at integrating feedback), are a big plus.

If you, or a friend, are interested on working on this with us, please send a brief email introducing yourself and with a link to a portfolio of your work to: mail.makemeflow@gmail.com and cc hello@thestoryof.org

The team will then follow up to select the best candidate.
